3 Alternatives to Sand Bags

Consider The Following Four Options
When you know a storm is coming in Arcadia, OK, you only have a little bit of time to set up barriers to prevent flooding in your commercial building. The sand bag is the traditional way to prevent floodwaters from reaching your building, but there may be more efficient alternatives. Consider the following four options.
1. QuickDam
The QuickDam protects your building from flood damage by absorbing the water as it approaches the barrier. All you have to do is place the QuickDam near doors or windows, and it does the rest. As your area floods, the dam swells. After the storm is over, it dries out. You can leave it in place or move it to storage after it dries. You can purchase the QuickDam from your local hardware store in a variety of sizes, so it's easy to find one that fits your needs.
2. Instee Levee
If you know a bad storm is coming days in advance, you can build your own levee to ward off floodwaters. The Instee Levee is basically a large sand bag that is filled by a particular piece of equipment. You need a few days notice to have the equipment delivered to you.
3. Aqua Fence
The Aqua Fence can cover a large area, so if you want to keep both your property and the surrounding neighborhood safe, this is a worthwhile investment to consider. It only takes a small crew to assemble it and tear it back down after the risk of flooding has passed.
4. AquaDam
The AquaDam is similar to other flood dams except you use water instead of sand to fill up the tube. You can fill the AquaDam faster than traditional sand bags so that you need less prep time.
Storm season often leads to flooding. If you are looking at alternatives to a sand bag, there are many different options to choose from.
